Curves Bethesda Supports Our Community: A Wider Circle

Curves Bethesda has a loyal early morning workout crowd that often heads out to breakfast together upon finishing their workout, affectionately termed the Curves Breakfast Club.

On Thursday, April 23, 2009, the Curves Breakfast Club will be supporting a local charity, A Wider Circle, by eating at a local Maryland location of the Original House of Pancakes.

Anybody who dines at the Original House of Pancakes for breakfast or lunch in Bethesda or Rockville, Maryland, on Thursday will be supporting A Wider Circle in that 15% of proceeds will be donated to A Wider Circle.

A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that serves individuals and families living in poverty in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. The programs conducted by A Wider Circle reach low-income children, teens, seniors, individuals who are disabled, and adults who lack access to many resources. For more information, please visit: http://www.awidercircle.org/.

Curves Bethesda has a history of supporting A Wider Circle, and our community, by donating clothing and furnishings to the organization.

Help the Curves Bethesda Breakfast Club support this wonderful organization by also eating out at the Original House of Pancakes on Thursday, April 23, 2009.

  1. Shelly, Debbie, Pam and I had a great time at the Pancake House. I was glad I worked out before breakfast! Even with healthy Wheatgerm pancakes, I did some damage, but was worth it for a good cause- Wider Circle. We also met lots of the Wider Circle staff and friends, who were having breakfast.

Another part of the fun was it was Take Your Child to Work Day so there were lots of Dad's with adorable children having breakfast before going to work. Nice to see so many Dad's involved with their kids!
